It’s the last weekend of the Easter holidays so whether you’re desperate for a night out without the kids or you’re looking for a way to entertain them, there are plenty of events happening in Skipton for you to add to your itinerary this weekend.
Here’s our guide to what’s on in Skipton for 13 – 15th April…
What’s on in Skipton this Weekend…
Skipton Beer Festival
Friday and Saturday at Emysted’s Grammar School
Skipton’s 12th Beer Festival kicked off yesterday at Ermysted’s Grammar School. This year, they are featuring over 75 real ales as well as foreign bottled beers. There’ll also be plenty of wine available in addition to a selection of soft drinks. Drake & Macefield are in attendance, offering their delicious hot pies to help soak up some of that alcohol.
Scouts at Skipton Town Hall
Saturday 14th April, Skipton Town Hall
5th Skipton Scout Group will be running the Skipton Town Hall kitchen this Saturday. They’ll be there from 9 am serving hot food, cakes and drinks. This is an annual fundraiser for their group so they’d be really appreciative of any support. It’s also a great way to introduce your child to the group if they have been thinking of joining.
Open Mic Night
21:00 – 01:00 on Friday, 13th April, Venue Sports & Music Bar
Venue Sports & Music bar has brought back their popular open mic nights. On one Friday per month, local musicians and budding popstars are invited to take the stage and show off their musical abilities. Entry is free and they will be running some great promotions on drinks. This promises to be an entertaining evening whether you choose to take the mic yourself or cheer on the performers with a large G&T.
Aireworth Dogs in Need – Charity Dog Walk
11:00, Sunday 15th April, Kibble Bakery
Local dog rescue charity, Aireworth Dogs in Needs, have arranged group dog walk in Skipton for this Sunday. Families from across the area are invited to join the charity and their rescue dogs on a leisurely 90-minute walk. They will be meeting at 11 am outside Kibble Bakery and ask that each participating family donates £5 so they can continue rescuing and rehoming abandoned or mistreated dogs.
18:00 – 01:00 Friday, 13th April at The Fleece
The ever-popular ‘Dragalicious’ is back at The Fleece every Friday night from 6 pm. There will be karaoke until 10 pm with free shots for singers. After the singing is over, they’ll be playing the latest chart tunes and some popular party hits so you can dance the rest of the night away.

11:00 – 15:00 Saturday, 14th April at Greatwood and Horseclose Community Centre
If you haven’t quite had your fill of Easter-themed activities just yet, Little Feet Creche will be hosting a lovely family fun day on Saturday morning at the Greatwood and Horseclose Community Centre from 11 am.
