Settle Stories is on mission to raise £1,000 – great prizes are up for grabs

Settle Stories have partnered with many local businesses to offer a top quality raffle. The charity has a target to raise £1,000 to put on free events for children and young people at the 2018 Settle Stories Festival (6-8th April).

Raffle tickets are just £1 and there are some fantastic prizes up for grabs. You could win:

A family ticket on the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, Two nights in a Glamping Pod with peaks and Pods, Afternoon Tea for 2 at the Traddock in Austwick, a family photoshoot with Ingham Photography, Santa Stops here experience at the Coniston Hotel, a luxury Christmas hamper, £50 voucher for Amazon, Lush and Studio Vault, a £40 Waterstones voucher and a £50 Settle Stories voucher.

The target of £1,000 will mean that the 2018 Settle Stories Festival will be accessible to all families and young people regardless of income with free events. The next festival is set to be the biggest yet with circa 70 events and something for all ages.

Trustee of Settle Stories Jane Rice-Bowen explains more:

We have worked tirelessly to raise funding to deliver projects that are often low cost or free for users, and events are always priced so as to be accessible to the wider community. As we plan more activities we have to raise more money to pay for them. Fundraising has always been challenging but in the current economic and political climate we have to be increasingly creative, entrepreneurial and sometimes downright cheeky! This year, for the first time we have launched a raffle which aims to raise £1,000 to ensure that local children and young people will be able to access our 2018 Festival for free.

The raffle will be launched on 2nd December at the Settle Lights Switch on. Tickets are just £1 and every penny raised will go towards making the 2018 Settle Stories Festival accessible to all. You can buy tickets online at or can be purchased in person at Studio Vault in Settle which is located underneath the Tourist Information Centre in the Town Hall.
