Businesses across Craven are set to receive a boost with the launch of a new networking group.

The Craven Business Network – to be launched at 7pm tomorrow (Tuesday 31 July) at the Royal Shepherd Inn, Canal Street, Skipton – will help promote and grow small, independent local businesses.

The new group is being set up by Andrew Vaux who runs Cullingworth-based Small Business Networking Limited as well as ARVA PR & Events.

Andrew explains: “Over the past few years I’ve visited many networking groups and I’ve seen lots of good things and lots of bad things.

“With this new group I want to create a model which keeps the good things and takes away the bad things. My main aim is for a group which is fun, not too formal, but most importantly accessible to all local businesses in terms of cost and venue.”

He continues: “Local independent businesses often lose out to larger companies in surrounding towns and cities. Once the new group becomes firmly established, I sincerely hope members, as well as their families and friends, will look to other members for the services they need – thus keeping business within Craven.”

Through Small Business Networking Limited, Andrew already runs the Worth Valley Business Network and the Aire Valley Business Network and aims to launch the Bradford Business Network, the Wharfedale Business Network and the Harrogate Business Network within the coming weeks.

In time, he plans to roll out Small Business Networking Limited as a franchise across other parts of the UK.

All small, local independent businesses are welcome to attend tomorrow’s business.
