Following the success of our beer lovers guide last week (Read it here,) we received lots of comments and requests for us to do a follow-up article, as we barely scratched the surface of all the brilliant bars and pubs on offer in Skipton! So this week, we bring you our round up of Three Brilliant Bars You Should Try In Skipton.

From a renowned cafe which transforms into a cocktail bar in the evening, to a family run bar with a passion for board games and gin, there is something for everyone in our fabulous town. If you’ve not tried any of these, then make sure to keep them in mind the next time you head out on the town!

If we’ve missed out your favourite venue, let us know, researching bars is hard work… but we’re committed to the job!

Bojangles

3 Newmarket Street

14233252_729804363833869_9217940286120161572_n

Bojangles operates as a cafe by day (with one of the best breakfasts in town) and transforms into a popular cocktail bar by night! At Bojangles, you’ll receive personable service, with many people commenting on Alistair’s (the owner) hands on and welcoming approach! Their cocktail menu is varied and they often experiment with new recipes, so you’ll often find something new each time you visit! As well as serving delightful cocktails (we recommend their strawberry daiquiri) they also host Cocktail making classes, which prove popular for work nights out and hen nights! It’s affordable and they occasionally offer deals to celebrate events such as Wimbledon, which give you, even more, value for money! A must stop for any cocktail lovers in Skipton!

Customer Review:

“I visited this wonderfully unique cafe by day and night where it converts into a very popular cocktail bar. The owner, Alistair, is quirky and very friendly; a visit is a must just to meet this hospitable chap! Great, simple food washed down by strong coffee. Bravo!” – 5 stars – Via TripAdvisor

V.SQ

1 Victoria Square, Skipton

15037225_1218789151514353_6057919428257152476_n

A relative newcomer, V.SQ was opened in early 2016 by owner Lorraine Forshaw, V.SQ has quickly become a gem of the Skipton nightlife scene. As well as serving food such as meat and cheese platters, the drinks available are carefully selected and you can always expect a warm welcome, or if you’re uncertain of what to choose from their extensive menu, the bar staff are always on hand to offer their recommendation. The bar is family run, with Lorraine’s daughter Aimee managing the day to day operations. Although V.SQ specialises in gin, high-end spirits and champagne, it also has a respectable cocktail menu, making it a perfect stop for anyone looking for a fun-filled night out in Skipton!

What’s more, V.SQ are community minded and can often be seen distributing soup to the homeless after the bars been wiped down.
