Hi, I’m Cerin, an Independent Fitness Coach and Personal Trainer living in Skipton. I work with individuals and groups of all ages, helping them achieve their personal fitness goals – whether they’re just starting out, are seasoned fitness fanatics, or are rehabilitating following an injury.
I’m passionate about being active, about ‘playing’ at life, and I love inspiring this passion in others. I love seeing the spark in their eyes when they realise ‘Wow, I can do this!’ I get huge satisfaction from helping people focus on what they can do rather than what they can’t, and believe that if Plan A doesn’t work then there’s always a Plan B (and Plan C, and Plan D…) that will. All it takes is a bit of imagination and the right attitude to get stuck in and give it a go!
Skipton’s Karate Kid
My background is in martial arts. I began learning Shotokan karate when I was just seven years old and have been a certified karate instructor for over two decades. But in recent years I’ve diversified into coaching all aspects of health, strength and fitness, teaching everything from how people move their bodies to the food they eat to fuel them. I’m also an ARNI-qualified stroke rehabilitation instructor, something that gives me a great sense of pride and achievement.
I never really switch off, spending far too much of my spare time experimenting with weird and wonderful ways to turn exercise from a chore into playtime. Maybe that’s why I’ve done so many muddy obstacle course races…
