With Skipton music in its 71st season, there are a number of exceptionally talented musicians scheduled to perform over the next few months. Last season saw good audience numbers, coming from far and wide to see some of the musical magic on offer.
This season promises to be equally as fantastic, with international musicians gracing Skipton Town Hall for a series of performances which are sure to inspire music lovers.
This seasons schedule represents hard work from the Skipton Music Committee which includes, Brian Davies, Rowena Leder MBE, Anne Wood and Peter Leach. And of course, without the dedication of Christine Wilson, Keith Reeves, Maurice White and Sally Johnson, these spectacular events wouldn’t be possible.

Shortlisted for the 2015 Gramophone Award for their release of Haydn’s Op.20 Quartets, The Doric String Quartet have an international fan base and has firmly established itself as the leading British string quartet of its generation. With enthusiastic reviews from both fans and critics alike, we’re excited to see what they bring to Skipton Town Hall this October.

Joglaresa – “Make We Mirth” Quintet

This London-based Quintet has a plethora of fantastic reviews for their approach to Traditional and medieval music, their work focuses on connecting ancient and traditional music, combining their varied cultural backgrounds to create a homogenous sound. Having performed at countless British and European early music festivals, they are considered experts in their field.
