A new fundraising event is set to take place in support of Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice on 12th November.
‘Run Bolton Abbey’ is set to be a fantastic day of trail races suitable for all the family. There is a choice of a 10K, a 10 mile and a half marathon on trails around the stunning estate, some of which are not usually accessible to the public. The routes include Hammerthorne Hill, the Valley of Desolation and Strid Wood. In addition to these races, there is a lovely 2-mile fun run which heads alongside the River Wharfe to the Priory and returns on the other side of the river.
The event is supported by Skipton AC, with help from Manorlands volunteers and The Airedale Dodgers. There are some fantastic sponsorship opportunities for this event and Manorlands Fundraising department would welcome any companies who would like more information about this.
Molly Ralphson, Community Fundraiser said “Bolton Abbey Estate is especially beautiful in Autumn, we are really looking forward to hosting this event, and there is a route to choose for all abilities of runner. We expect it will become a firm favourite on the running calendar. Having only launched the event a couple of weeks ago we are delighted to have over 200 pre-entries already. I would encourage participants not to delay in entering this event or they might miss out!”
All participants will receive a bespoke medal and goody bag and will benefit from chip-timing. The costs to enter the event range from £5 to £25.
