We’re bringing you another tremendous trio from Skipton’s independent business scene – so whether you’re after soda crystals, salads or sweets, we’ve got something for everyone!
The Vintage Wash House
This week we’re stepping back in time with a visit to The Vintage Wash House, which lies on the High St. at the top of town and is run by the lovely Linda and Phil Peake.
This is an amazing Aladdin’s cave where you can buy anything from old-fashioned cleaning products like soda crystals, knitted dishcloths and wooden dolly pegs to beautifully crafted kitchenware and décor.
Want an unusual gift to impress your friends and family? Then The Vintage Wash House is the place for you. And you’re sure of a warm welcome from Linda or Phil, bedecked in their quirky vintage attire! Visit their website here.
Bill’s Butty Bar
A saviour to many a market trader, Bill’s kept Skipton’s finest supplied with butties and brews on early wet and windy mornings for a long time. And for that, Bill, we can’t thank you enough!
And if you’re not after a sandwich, Bill can fill a hungry tummy with a beefed-up burger or satisfying salad. We particularly like Bill’s Deluxe offering – a belly-busting double cheese and bacon burger finished with fried onions. Simply Bill-iant!
Will’s Sweet Shop
Lastly this week we have Will and his wonderful sweet shop, perfect for those of us with a sweet tooth. Which is all of us, right?
Will’s stall has a great selection of traditional sweeties and great value cakes so pop along and see what the Sweet Man of Skipton can tempt you with! Go on, you know you want to…
That’s it from us for now – remember to keep going loco for local by promoting Skipton’s diverse range of shops and stalls.
