Sue Ryder Manorlands are appealing for enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals who live in the Skipton & Craven area to raise vital funds for the Hospice by becoming part of a new fundraising support group in the area.
Molly Ralphson, the Community Fundraiser for Skipton, Craven and the Dales said “We would love to hear from anyone who would consider being a part of the new group. The group will be informal, fun and friendly and will be able to fundraise in their own way using their own ideas. This could involve organising any sort of fundraising events, the options are immense but the staff at Manorlands will be on hand to help and support every step of the way”.
Manorlands Hospice provides care for people living with conditions like cancer, heart failure and lung disease in the area. It costs £9,000 a day for us to provide this care, so support from our community is absolutely vital.
Whether supporting people in the hospice or their own homes in Skipton and the Dales Sue Ryder’s focus is on quality of life – giving every patient the care and support they need to spend the time they have left in the way they choose. The local support group will play a pivotal role in raising the vital funds required to keep these services operational.
