Five Businesses Broken Into In Skipton Town Centre

Five businesses in Skipton town centre were burgled in the early hours of Sunday.

Taking place between 1am and 3.30am on Sunday, North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information.

After receiving reports of a burglary taking place at Two Sisters Bar & Kitchen in Mill Bridge, Skipton police attended the scene, however, the men fled the scene before police arrived.

One witness heard glass smashing and saw a man wearing a black hoodie entering the property through the front door.

As well as Two Sisters, Bean Loved Coffee Shop in Otley Street, The Mill Shop in Rope Walk, The Home Company at High Corn Mill, Chapel Hill and Dalesway News in Albert Yard were also targeted.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said “We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to establish the full circumstances surrounding these incidents.

“In particular, we are appealing for information about any suspicious people or vehicles that were seen in Skipton town centre during the early hours of Sunday.”
