Devonshire Arms “Hat-trick” Of Awards Highlights Their Foodie Excellence

November got off to a flying start for The Devonshire Arms Hotel and Spa, as they were awarded three Regional Awards, at two separate events held in Yorkshire on Wednesday evening. The ‘hat trick’ of Awards all recognised the excellence this four red star country hotel, which is renowned for its acclaimed ‘Burlington Restaurant.’

‘Best Yorkshire Afternoon Tea’, courtesy of Deliciouslyorkshire, was announced at The Pavilions in Harrogate at a black tie dinner, hosted by Radio 2 foodie, Nigel Barden. The Awards now in their 7th year are a celebration of the fantastic food and drink scene that is to be found in our county.

That same evening, two Awards were scooped at Aagrah Business Awards, ‘Restaurant of the Year’ and ‘Hospitality Venue of the Year’. Now in their 35th year, a glittering charity event was held at The Centenary Pavilion at Leeds Football Club, which benefitted Macmillan Cancer Support as the nominated charity.

Adam Dyke, General Manager of The Devonshire Arms Hotel and Spa, commented:
“I’m over the moon with three Awards in one night, especially on top of two Awards we won last month as well – we’re certainly on a winning streak at present!
It feels as though we’re now reaping the rewards of a couple of years of change across many areas of our business. During this period we really challenged ourselves and made some fundamental changes to the ways in which we approach things. These three Awards particularly highlight the impact of our new Head Chef, Paul Leonard. Paul has certainly made his mark, despite being with us just over three months now. Of course, he has the support of a strong and motivated team, which always helps I can tell you! These Awards are always a testimony to the hard-working, dedicated teams here at The Dev.”

The two recent awards which the hotel won last month were, ‘General Manager of the Year’ which was received at The Boutique Hotelier Awards in London by Adam Dyke, along with ‘Employer Brand Campaign’ at TheCaterer.com’s ‘People’s Awards’, which was presented to the hotel’s HR team.
