Local architecture firm Bowman Riley have just started a charity-business partnership with Skipton-based children’s charity SELFA. Over the next two years, Bowman Riley Architects will be undergoing a variety of activities to raise money for SELFA.
SELFA has been supporting local vulnerable children for nearly 10 years by providing a range of free tailored after-school and holiday clubs, while also offering free holiday workshops and trips.
Kara Thorpe from Bowman Riley said “Bowman Riley is delighted to support SELFA as our charity for the next two years. We asked our staff members to vote for their favourite charity from a shortlist of four and SELFA came out on top. Our staff felt that it was important to support a community charity that is local to our head office. A children’s charity was particularly appealing to our staff. We look forward to working with SELFA over the coming months”.
Bowman Riley’s previous charity partnership with Cancer Support Yorkshire raised over £3500 over a two year period, including a sponsored walk across the Yorkshire Three Peaks which raised over £1600.
