Entries for The Skipton Business Awards – the first of its kind in the town for more than a decade – are now open.
Spearheaded by The Skipton Chamber of Trade and with financial backing from the Skipton Business Improvement District, the awards will honour Skipton’s best and the brightest businesses.
An Inclusive Approach
Twelve awards categories will be contested, allowing plenty of opportunity for businesses to enter. And because entry is free and not limited to Chamber members, it truly is an inclusive awards ceremony.
The application process is straightforward, too, meaning that even the most time-pressured business owners can take part. The only requirement is that the business has a BD23 postcode.
The deadline for entry is 16th January 2017, giving the panel of judges plenty of time to pick the winners ahead of the award ceremony dinner on Thursday March 23rd at The Rendezvous Hotel.
Skipton Means Business
Awards coordinator Wendy Lawson said at the Business Awards launch on 6th October: “The Chamber is a long-established and much-loved organisation which champions the businesses of Skipton. These awards will celebrate and reward the dedication of companies that help to foster a vibrant town to visit, live and work.”
The twelve award categories are: Best Food & Drink, Accommodation, Customer Service, Retailer, Health & Beauty Business, Manufacturing or Engineering Business, Apprentice or Trainee, Professional or Financial Service Provider, Market Stall, Leisure & Tourism Business, The Special Chamber Award (nominated by the public) and Business Of The Year.
The awards have a number of sponsors in place – including The Pentelow Practice – but if you’d like to lend your business’ support as Associate or Headline sponsors please contact Wendy Lawson on 01756 798257 or email email@example.com.
